Privacy & cookies

Short version: freekkampen.com collects almost nothing about you. If you fill in the contact form, I receive your name, email, and message. If you subscribe to the guides, I store your email address so I can send you the next one. If you accept the cookie banner, I also get anonymous analytics through Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager. Nothing else.

The guide subscription

If you subscribe on a guide page, your email address is stored as a contact in Resend (EU region) for one purpose: sending you a message when a new guide is published. That is a handful of emails a year. No selling, no sharing, no passing your address to anyone else.

Subscribing is two steps. Submitting the form sends you one confirmation email and nothing else; you only join the list when you click the link in it, which expires after 48 hours. That is the legal basis: consent, confirmed by you. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, which stops all further mail immediately. Ask me to delete the address outright and I remove it from Resend within a few days. Otherwise I keep it until I stop writing the guides.

The contact form

Submissions are sent through Resend (EU region) to my inbox. I keep the message as long as the conversation is active and delete it when there's no reason to keep it. I will never share it with anyone or add you to any mailing list — there is no mailing list.

Cookies & analytics

Until you accept the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are set — Consent Mode v2 default-denied is in effect. If you accept, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 and I get aggregated, anonymised stats about which pages get visited and roughly where from. No advertising tags, no third-party trackers.

You can change your mind any time by clearing site data in your browser, which resets the consent choice and re-shows the banner.

Third parties

• Vercel — hosts the site and may log standard request metadata (IP, user agent, path).
• Cloudflare — provides DNS and email routing for the domain.
• Resend — delivers contact form submissions to my inbox, and stores guide subscribers so I can email them when something new is published.
• Google (via GTM + GA4) — only if you accept the cookie banner.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me to show, correct, or delete any personal data I hold about you. Email contact@freekkampen.com and I will respond within a working day.
